Buy Tickets. Casa Vicens opened to the public for the first time ever in 2017. Casa Vincens is on Carrer de les Carolines, 20 in the Gracia area of Barcelona. Casa Vicens was originally created by Gaudi as a summer villa built between 1883 and 1885 for the Vicens family,. At that time is was on the outskirts of Barcelona city at the top of the village called Gracia. Gracia was outside Barcelona city.
Since the Casa Vicens was built the city has caught up with Gracia and now the village of Gracia is completely engulfed by the city with nothing remaining of the large garden and surrounding countryside that existed when the house Casa Vicens was built.
